Active skill - Deals 1500% damage to a random back-line enemy and applies Mark of Death. Additionally, if Masamune has less than 50% HP, he heals himself for 1500% of his Attack and grants himself Cloak for 2 rounds. If he has more than 50% HP, he grants Cloak to the ally with the lowest HP instead and increases their Armor by 60% for 3 rounds. (Mark of Death: When an enemy with this mark is killed by an attack, heal two allies with the lowest HP for 1500% of this fighter's Attack.) (Cloak: Cannot be directly targeted by any attacks and reduces all damage taken by 25%. The Cloak effect is lost when there are no allies alive in battle.)
Viable Kodiak finisher but a clear tier below Spekkio. A level 200 Spekkio outperforms a level 260 Masamune in mech damage output. Last Stand's 1500% single-hit doesn't match Wave Cutter's multi-hit cap scaling.
Moment of Meditation's energy restoration (60 Energy when >50% HP) keeps him cycling skills. Useful in Kodiak faction mech teams when Spekkio needs a secondary damage source.
Single-target assassin kit with Cloak protection. Last Stand's 1500% to a back-line target can one-shot enemy carries. Shadowy Revenge's 1000% burst + team heal triggers on ally death while Cloaked.
High Stealth (65) and Cloak make him hard to pin down. However, single-target focus and one-time-use Shadowy Revenge limit his overall Smash impact.
Crit-scaling assassin. 65 base Crit plus Moment of Meditation's +40% Crit after each skill rapidly approaches 100% crit rate by the 3rd active skill. Moment of Meditation also purifies all debuffs and restores 60 Energy — practically turns him into a chain-killer.
At Finisher mastery level 45+, can solo teams from level 280. Mark of Death punishes enemies for killing his allies.
High-burst assassin with excellent self-sustain. Last Stand's 1500% backline nuke eliminates priority targets, and Ghostly Slash's Super form on first kill grants +60% ATK/DR/Crit Damage — turning him into a self-healing damage machine with 75% HP recovery and 100 Energy per round while cloaked. 65% base Crit plus Moment of Meditation's +40% Crit approaches guaranteed crits.
Shadowy Revenge's 1000% burst plus 50% HP team heal on ally death provides a safety net. However, purely single-target damage and no CC limit his hard-mode versatility compared to fighters who contribute AoE clearing and crowd control alongside damage.
Highest base ATK (79,622) among all Kodiak fighters with exceptional self-sustain through Super form. Ghostly Slash's transformation grants +60% ATK/DR/Crit Damage, and while cloaked the Super form restores 100 Energy and heals 75% max HP per round — making him nearly unkillable in extended sewer fights.
Shadowy Revenge's team-wide 50% HP heal on ally death is a powerful sewer safety valve. Moment of Meditation's purify and energy restoration keep Last Stand cycling. Strong Kodiak option but competes with Spekkio and Kotaro for the limited team slots, and his single-target focus is less impactful than their multi-target contributions.
Potent campaign assassin who excels at boss stages but lacks wave-clearing ability. Last Stand's 1500% backline nuke can one-shot priority campaign enemies, and Super form's self-sustain (75% HP heal + 100 Energy per round while cloaked) provides multi-stage staying power. Near-100% crit rate with 65% Armor Break ensures consistent damage scaling.
Moment of Meditation purifies all debuffs and restores 60 Energy per skill, enabling rapid skill cycling. Falls off in general campaign progression where AoE wave clearing and reliable CC contribute more than single-target assassination.
