REVENGE TRAP

Active skill - Deals 550% damage to the 3 enemies with the highest Attack. Additionally, reduces their armor by 40% for 5 rounds and applies Revenge Mark. (Revenge Mark: When the marked target lands a killing blow, deals 750% damage.)

mech banner

Block/counter kit is poorly suited for mech. Mech bosses use skill attacks, not basic attacks, so Sharp Response's block trigger rarely activates. Low base ATK (61K) and no multi-hit scaling make his damage contribution negligible.

Revenge Trap's Armor reduction on 3 targets is wasted when there's only one boss. No energy generation or team utility for the mech format.

Block-focused counter-attacker. 70% Block Chance means he blocks most basic attacks, and Sharp Response punishes each block with -65% Crit and -65% Armor debuffs on the attacker. Armor Shred's basics ignore Armor and reduce enemy Crit.

Effective at neutering enemy damage dealers over time. However, low ATK and no burst damage limit his kill potential. Better as a disruptive presence than a carry.

Defensive disruptor. Sharp Response's -65% Crit Chance and -65% Armor on block (90% counter rate) systematically cripples enemy attackers. Revenge Trap's Revenge Mark punishes enemies for killing his allies.

Problem: 70% Block only triggers on basic attacks, not skills. Skilled PvP opponents use active skills to bypass his entire kit. Viable against basic-attack-heavy comps but inconsistent.

hard-mode banner

Block/counter kit is poorly aligned with hard mode's PvE format. Bosses use skill attacks almost exclusively, bypassing Sharp Response's block-triggered counter-attacks and debuffs entirely. 70% Block only functions against minion waves that use basic attacks — a narrow window of value.

Revenge Trap's 550% to 3 targets with 40% Armor reduction provides some minion-phase damage. Super Saban form's energy drain and self-healing are useful if activated, but 61.6K base ATK limits damage throughout. No AoE wave clearing, no CC, no team support — Kodiak hard mode slots are far better spent on fighters with broader contributions.

Block/counter kit is more relevant in sewers where enemies use basic attacks, but it doesn't compensate for the lack of team contribution. Sharp Response's -65% Crit/-65% Armor on block and Super Saban's +60% ATK/SD/Armor Break provide individual value, and 40% HP self-healing per round in Super form aids survivability.

However, 61.6K base ATK limits damage output, and Saban provides no team healing, no energy generation, no shields, and no CC. The five core Kodiak sewer slots are better served by fighters who support the team — not just themselves.

Reactive block/counter kit conflicts with campaign's need for fast, proactive wave clearing. 70% Block triggers against basic attacks, but campaign enemies increasingly use skill attacks at higher stages, reducing Sharp Response's utility. Armor Shred's 250% armor-ignoring basics are decent but low-multiplier.

Revenge Trap's 550% to 3 targets with Armor reduction has some value in multi-enemy stages. Super Saban form provides self-sustain if activated. But 61.6K ATK, no AoE, no CC, and no team utility make him one of the weakest Kodiak campaign options.
