FEATHERED FURY
Active skill - Deals 2 attacks to random enemies, each dealing 450% damage. Additionally, deal two extra attacks if any of the previous attacks were a critical strike, and two extra attacks if any of the previous attacks resulted in a killing blow. Moreover, landing a killing blow heals self for 40% of Max HP and boosts Crit Damage and Armor Break by 30% for 3 rounds. Lastly, if Scythe's HP is above 50%, boost his Control Resist by 50% for 3 rounds. If his HP is below 50%, increase Attack and Skill Damage by 25% for 3 rounds. If his HP is below 25%, add an extra 30% to Attack and Skill Damage for the same duration.
Core mech damage dealer from early game through endgame. Feathered Fury's guaranteed 2 attacks per ult — with extra hits on crits and kills — scales exceptionally well with crit dragons and S mutagen (+25% crit). Peak output of ~10 attacks per skill cycle.
Mech priority #2 after Spekkio. Essential for Kotaro and Karma mech compositions. At 280+ with S perk, outperforms Otto in most matchups. Replaced by Chancer at A1+ in the charm meta but remains the more accessible carry.
Strong Smash finisher with kill-reset snowball mechanics. Feathered Fury's extra attacks on crits and kills can chain through weakened enemies. Skullbound Seal's curse damage and death-heal add survivability.
Frontline placement protects from enemy backline CC. Solid Crane Smash pick but not the faction's primary carry — Chancer's burst and defensive dice mechanics are more reliable in Smash's faction matchup format.
Big nuke potential in arena. Part of top arena compositions: Nyx + Raja + Scythe / Laguna + Locke + Pyra. Frontline placement absorbs CC intended for backline carries.
Shadow Talon Strike's execute damage against sub-50% targets secures kills. Skullbound Seal's 65% proc on incoming skill damage provides counterplay. More burst-oriented than Chancer but less consistent than Xeno for PvP.
Crane faction boss-killer. Without Scythe, clearing Crane hard mode levels is extremely difficult. One-shot combo: Xeno clears minions, Scythe finishes the boss.
Block build recommended for survival. Must be slower than Xeno and Laguna to allow them to buff/debuff first. Tianlu S3 dragon recommended. Part of the core Crane HM team (Xeno + Scythe + Locke + Laguna).
Core Crane sewer fighter and faction boss-killer. Kill-reset mechanics on Feathered Fury chain through sewer waves. Skullbound Seal provides sustain through long runs.
Part of the optimal Crane sewer lineup (Chancer, Scythe, Locke, Laguna). Tianlu dragon recommended for sewer survivability. Also strong in non-faction sewer content thanks to raw finisher damage.
First-priority campaign build. Carries campaign to stage 1625+ at GM even without ascension. Part of late-game teams: Nyx/Raja/Laguna + Locke/Pyra + Scythe. Campaign 1799 loadout: Nunchuck + Katana + Khopesh + Yinglong + Tianlu.
Cleanup role in the Pyra death → petrify → Scythe/Chancer strategy for stage 1800. Replaceable by Nyx, Locke, or Karma in non-mech modes at equivalent investment.
